Career highlights 1996 - Graduated from UEA with first in maths and chemistry 1997 - Joined Flemings as a middle office analyst 1998 - transferred into IT dept as trainee Analyst programmer 1999 - launched first online website 1999 - worked as ecommerce Analyst in Australia 2000 - joined Baring Asset Management as Technical Analyst

My day job is currently as a Senior Technical Analyst for Baring Asset Management in the recently rechristened Development and Systems Integration department. Here I am exposed to such technologies as:

C / Sybase/ Panther - supporting and further developing recently in-sourced fund accounting system.

Java / JSP / J2EE - designed and built in house web based compliance system.

ASP / COM /SQL Server - designed and built in house tactical content management system.

XML / XSL - increasing we use these technolgies for system integration and data presentation.

Microsoft Excel VBA Macros - supported and developed front and back office vba driven spreadsheets interfacing to other bank's systems.

Unix and DOS scripting - integrating systems using unix shell scripting and vbscript.
